Tips
|
1. Wages of War – When checking out potential loot, keep in mind how much gold and elixir you spent preparing for your troops. You don’t want to go backwards by looting less than what you spent. Make more profit by using lower level troops. Less loot spent on attacking means more loot for you!
2. Time is Gold – Prepare for your next attack sooner by keeping your barracks busy while raiding. It generally takes around 3 minutes to find and defeat your opponent; in that time, 4 barracks could have trained up to 28 archers, which will be ready for when you come back. 3. Clan Castle Freebies – Before going into battle, confirm what’s in your castle. This helps you to ensure best placement and not waste the generous donations from your clan mates. 4. Spell Check – Loot gain needs to be pretty decent for spells to be worth it. Generally, you will get the most bang for your buck from a well-placed rage spell, vs. using several lightning spells to take out a defense. 5. Just Hit It – Don’t be afraid to hit that “Next” button to find an opponent with a decent and accessible loot haul. |
Base Design
|
It's all about protecting your loot. Keep these points in mind when designing:
6. Splash Damage – Wizard towers and mortars are excellent for protecting your storages against goblins. Try to place them near the storages. 7. Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket – Avoid placing all your storages in one compartment – this makes it less easy for opponents using lightning spells or mass goblins. |

8. Available Loot – This is displayed at the top left of your screen. Consider TH difference from your opponent, collectors and storage can look empty but with the TH multiplier, it can hold significant loot. Your TH level will define the loot potential from opponents. Don’t rush your TH upgrade! Opponents with the same or higher TH give the best loot. The higher your TH, the less loot is available from lower level TH.
9. Trophy Range – It is important to keep within a trophy range that gives the best loot opportunities. Play round a bit to see what works best for you. If you’re after Dark Elixir, generally the best looting for this is in the gold league and up. |

10. Abandoned Villages – Generally, these villages have more easily accessible loot. Some things to watch for:
|
11. Bird’s Eye View – Scan the whole village and look for where the storage and collectors are. Get a good idea of the split in total loot available to know where to aim your attack. Look for exposed collectors which are loaded. You can generate significant amounts with minimal troops. Elixir shows with pink inside, on gold mines the square collection box next to the trolley fills up and on DE drills the box on top fills up with black. Because they have the least space, generally the DE will show first.

BARBARIANSIndividually, a barbarian can't do much damage. But in large swarms, they can be rather overwhelming, making them great for going against high-level, single-target defenses, such as teslas, trebuchets, high-level cannons and archer towers. Try luring out a Barb King and Archer Queen with a single barbarian, then surround them with barbarians for the kill.
With a little help from a giant bait, you may still go head-to-head with splash-damage defenses, such as Wizard Towers and Mortars. |
ARCHERS
Using all archers, will bring you up to Crystal 3 league without spending a lot on elixir. Aiming for 50% damage earns 1 star. The key is to disperse the archers around the perimeter of the base, in order to destroy more buildings. The perimeter attack can be reinforced by zapping far-reaching defenses like mortars. Pick a village showing more buildings outside the walls.

GOBLINS"Release your goblins in short bursts, this makes it harder for splash defence to take them all out as they tend to group together." ~GoodluckFish
