PUSHING 101
Opponent Selection
|
1. Perimeter Attack – Check the outer building numbers vs. ones within walls. Bases with buildings unprotected by splash damage can bring 50% win with cheaper troops, i.e. barbs, gobs, archers. 50% damage garners a 1 star win.
2. Weak Spot – Look for bases with unbalanced defence, i.e. defence being upgraded, poor cover on one side. Find that weak side and push through to their Town Hall! 3. Abandoned Bases – Look for empty X-bows and inferno towers. These will not ‘shoot’ if they are not loaded. Look for x-bows with no pink stripe on top or inferno towers without flames. 4. Hit 'Next' – It’s bound to happen, but no one likes to lose those hard won trophies. Minimize the risk by making sure to screen your opponents carefully and only attack those who you are confident of a win against. When the troops you have prepared does not match the village you are looking for. It won't hurt hitting the 'Next' button. Not to worry, you will see this village again, on your next random attack. |

5. Spell Match – Consider spells to match your troops.

6. Revenge Attacks – Some, especially those opponents who have gained trophies since attacking you, can have fantastic trophy ratios compared to a regular attack (30-50+ cups is entirely possible for a 3 star win). Visit your attacker, determine the weaknesses, and prepare the necessary troops.
7. Trophy Base – A good trophy base is all about protecting your TH and defenses more than your resources. Make it as hard as possible for your opponents to get stars by centralizing your TH and keeping on top of your defense upgrades. A strong village will earn you trophies while you sleep. Below are some design tips:

Elixir is King! |
8. It's all about the troops you can muster. Do your best to ensure your elixir storage is maxed before a push. For the most effective hunting, your attacks should be based on potential trophies gained not potential loot.
9. All that troop training can be expensive! Use cheaper troops as you start out and adjust your troop mix as you move to the higher end of your trophy range. With strategic attacking (lvl5+ barbs and archers) you should be able to quickly move up to 2000 trophies with mainly archers and barbarians. |
